Pop it!

Series of works "Toys"

Ready made toy "Pop it", cloissone enamel on copper. Size 12,5x12,5 cm.

The groundwork for this artwork (a broken toy) I found on the playground when I was walking with my son. Pop-it is a very popular thing among children now, it is a real fashion. A toy brings joy, but after a week it is forgotten, after two it tears, and after a few months it is simply thrown away. And it will not be thrown out by one kid, but by millions. What are the consequences of this? How will it affect our planet? How will it affect rivers, seas, animals, and insects? You just pop a pop-it ball, but at the same time you also pop such distant and large creatures as whales.
